
The closest thing I've found is Hearthfire Extended with the guards and servants livening up the place somewhat, but it doesn't change the fact that there's not a ton of things to do or interaction to be had around the house otherwise.

I've been looking for a mod that changes something, anything about this maybe just a few more lines of dialogue, short-range radiant quests you could be given by your steward, or a change to how the marriage/adoption process works really anything that improves that section of Skyrim beyond the dull, boring thing it is. Apart from a few Septims a day, some food, and some limited interactions with your kids, there's almost no reason to stay at Lakeview and do anything with these random NPCs. I love the idea of the whole Hearthfire DLC, and really like how it enhances the role playing by letting you choose between being an almighty killing machine and a family man/woman dedicated to the well-being of their wife/husband/kids/pet steward.
